- Working principle and types: Water-jet pump is a propulsion device different from the traditional propeller. When it works, water which is pumped from the bottom of vessel would form high-speed flow through the nozzle and backward. Then it generates thrust to propel the vessel. Water-jet pumps mainly contain three types: axial flow pump, mixed flow pump and centrifugal pump.
- Structure of water-jet pump: Basic structure of pump is composed of inflow pipe (suck water), impeller( get internal power to propel water flow), guide vane(straighten out the direction of rotating water flow), main shaft (power transmit), nozzle (flow and speed control), steering pipe (direction control) and reverse bucket( vessel reverse).
- Application of water-jet pump: Water-jet pump is suitable for high-speed boats, amphibious vehicles, various working boats and special engineering ships. Water-jet pump has the advantages of high propel efficiency and strong resist cavitation property, especially suitable to be used in shallow water. It is also low noise and high security.
